Summer Activities and Free Cookie Samples for the Family

Remember that lots of fun and free activities surround you and your area.  Do a search on the Web for your city or area.  Also make sure to sign up for promotional information on your city.  This is where I find many great deals and it keeps me up to date on special activies and promotions that the city is sponsoring.  Look at other small areas that surround your city for about fifty miles.  That way you can get easy day trips or activities that you wouldn't normally think about.

 

Above all, remember to enjoy all the artisinal activities that make your area that you live in a great one.  Just the other day I was watching one of those television shows and saw a local vendor who was new to the area and we went for a visit.  They gave away free samples and it was fun to see the new machines up close for the kids. It was the Brown Butter cookie store up in Cayucous. 

 

When grandma and grandpa come out for a visit, this will be a great place for us to visit for all of our senses.  Better then going to the same old places over and over and it is something that I saw on the Food Network, otherwise I would not have known to check it out.  Believe me, I have two happy girls because of it. 

Summertime

It is that time of the year for swimming and more outside activities.  Make sure to protect your family by using sunscreen with a high level of SPF.  Lot's of stores are having sales on these items right now.  Some even offer a variety pack which includes a small size and large size.  Put that extra small sized item into your bag to have at all times.  Sometimes you may forget in the morning to use the sunscreen and having it in your bag will give quick easy access to protect your family. 
 
Also take a bottle to your childs teacher.  That way they can help your student to remain protected at all times.

Right now is the time that stores offer free fast shipping to make sure that your gift gets their in time for the holidays.  Don't pay outrageous shipping charges.  Look through your emails for the company that you want to purchase from.  If you do not have an offer in your inbox, do a search for the company name with free rush shipping in the local search engines.

Halloween is Almost Here

This is a fun time for the kids.  Be careful though, the small ones may think that they want to be scared, but it may then cause nightmares.  So go easy on the children. 
 
Also remember to have trade off's available if you allow them to go trick or treating.  For instance, trade one to one for stickers so that the candy does not become a problem.  Especially for children that are not used to eating all that junk food. 

Too, remember that a lot of the ER's offer free X-rays of the candy to make sure that it is safe.
